the main advantage of
the main advantage of oracle products is that they guarantee high paid jobs just for keeping the system running, not to mention the consultants you'll need in order to install the bloody software and the consultants you'll need in order to configure it etc. etc.
it's quite obvious why such products will always remain popular. you can't ignore these advantages.
